about Lemon Meringué
Alegra, Proprietor and Creative Director
I first fell in love with design when I was assigned to create a papier-mâché volcano in the second grade. From that point on, I knew I loved art. I was obsessed with thick paper, paint, ceramics, and photography. My preoccupation with art followed me through high school and into college, where I studied Art History and Visual Arts. After college and several internships at art galleries in Atlanta and Berlin, I finally found graphic design. I decided to pursue my interest more seriously and enrolled in portfolio school at The Creative Circus.
I held Graphic Design and Art Direction roles in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver where I sharpened my skills in digital design. However, after getting engaged and beginning to design my own wedding suite, I realized how much I missed working with paper and getting my hands dirty. I founded Lemon Meringué so I could enjoy all the worlds of design.
